Avaya IP400 PRI 48 T1 Expansion Kit

The IP500 control unit has 4 slots for the insertion of cards. These cards can be divided into two types; base cards and trunk cards.  Base cards include a front panel and ports for cable connections. Trunk cards can be added to a base card in order to provide additional facilities (typically trunk connections).

These trunk cards supports two  23B D Primary rate (US PRI) trunks or  two T1 robbed-bit(24B) trunks. The mode of operation is selected within the IP Office configuration. The T1 PRI card includes an integral CSU/DSU that can be activated through the IP Office Monitor application.

Provides dual (T1 or PRI circuits) the IP400 Office PRI card provides dual primary rate trunk interfaces. The PRI is available as either T1, E1 or E1R2MFC depending on the market. Its is only supported on the IP412 and in slot A of the IP406. T1 trunk cards incorporate an integrated CSU/DSU, eliminating the need for an external unit. The CSU function allows the trunk to be put in loop-back mode for testing purposes. This can be set manually, using the monitor application, or automatically from a Central Office sending a Line Loop Back (LLB) pattern. The DSU function allows the T1 trunk to be shared between data and voice services.
